DO I HAVE TO PLAY IN THE WC TO BE ABLE TO ENTER THE TAKE TWO CHALLENGE?

Yes.

CAN I REGISTER AS A SINGLE FOR THE TAKE TWO CHALLENGE?
Kinda. You can register, but priority will be given to complete teams until August 14th. If the event sells out (72 teams) before then, medios who signed up as singles will be refunded. If the event is not sold out by then, singles will be randomly paired up and given each other's home address and social security numbers.

HOW DO THE PENALTY STROKES WORK?

We use the formula below to calculate penalty strokes. It's from the USGA, so take it up with them if you don't like it.

(Better player’s course handicap .35) + (Worse player’s course handicap.15) = Team handicap

Once we have the team handicap, we’ll calculate your penalty strokes the way we normally do and add that your score.

EXAMPLE

(14.4*.35)+(16.5*.15)=7.51. That figure would round up, giving the team a handicap index of 8. Then we would use the standard MGA formula 18-(handicap index) and this team would have 10 penalty strokes added to their final score.
